the output current of a power converter or switching power supply. It operates by modulating the width of the pulses in a fixed-
frequency square wave signal to control the output current. PWM is a technique where the width of the pulses in a square wave signal is adjusted to control the average power delivered to the load. In a current-mode controller, PWM is used to control the switching of power semiconductor devices (such as MOSFETs) in the power converter.
